IP rights of Facebook
17 02 2009Many have been surprised by the sudden play of words by Facebook under their Terms of Use. I am sure a clear majority of users do not read the fine print when you clicked on “I Agree”. The excitement to be part of the new and hip networking site blinded the eyes, as well as the fact that the terms of use didn’t have pictures or faces (the site should have been named “Textbook”).
The terms of use will be interpreted as a contract of adhesion. It’s a take it or leave it situation. We really have no choice in the matter. Here is the provision that is bugging everyone who wants to be tagged in an album:
