Why I will not be getting a Kindle (bonus feature: Debating Google Books)
17 07 2009An article from the NY Times noted that the other day, Amazon stripped its customers of certain of their eBooks at the request of their publisher, which said that it no longer wanted eBooks of its holdings on the market. Yes, stripped. They took them right off their Kindles the next time they signed into the net. Amusingly, 1984 and Animal Farm were among the books stripped. Now, people were issued a full refund, but… where does this leave us?
