NTP sues smartphone giants over wireless e-mail patents
9 07 2010Patent holding company NTP, most famous for successfully suing BlackBerry maker RIM for violating its patents for “wireless e-mail,” is now targeting some of the most successful smartphone hardware and software makers for patent infringement. The company claims that Apple, Google, HTC, LG, Microsoft, and Motorola are infringing NTP’s eight patents for “delivery of electronic mail over wireless communications systems.”
