Tenenbaum P2P circus: judge’s “indulgence is at an end”

The Jammie Thomas-Rasset file-sharing case may be dramatic, but it has nothing on the crazed circus that the similar Joel Tenenbaum case in Masschussetts has become. Judge Nancy Gertner, who oversees the Tenenbaum case, has had enough of it, too, and has demanded that the bizarre behavior come to an end.

What’s been going on? The better question is, what hasn’t? Harvard Law professor Charles Nesson, who is defending Tenenbaum (and helped Jammie Thomas-Rasset find her current legal team), has taken to recording every phone call and conversation he can, despite repeated instructions not to do so. He has then posted those recordings publicly.
